A Chinese green tea from the Dongting Mountains by Lake Tai near Suzhou. Only the earliest spring buds are picked, ideally before the Qingming festival in early April, and rolled into tight spirals covered in fine white hairs. The tea bushes grow among fruit trees.

Cultural background
The name means "green snail spring". Its older local name meant "scary fragrance", after its strong aroma. According to tradition, the Kangxi Emperor found that too blunt when he visited Lake Tai and gave the tea its more elegant name. Taiwan has its own Biluochun from Sanxia near Taipei.
